You use an interesting and radically different technique than I. It never
occurred to me to paint the uniform with a heavy dry brush only. It looks
like it saves A LOT of time when painting up an army. Useful considering I
pretty much exclusively paint 15mm miniatures.

I use a Raphael 8404 size 0 and a W&N Series 7 size 1. Both are a bit on
the pricey side but they hold their points, enabling you to paint fine
lines and mine have lasted for years. For dry brushing most of my older
brushes get demoted to this task. I also pick up cheap flats for that task.
