why do 90% of NY rappers find anything they don’t do weird and would rather
their kids selling crack than wearing skinny jeans. no wonder nobody fucks
with them anymore
April 8, 2015 @ 10:33 am
hes actually a cool dude for someone who have “murda” on the name
April 8, 2015 @ 10:38 am
The song HOT but it sounds too much like Young Thug. Often time when I
watch HOT 97 interviews or various New York hip hop publications everyone
speaks on NY trying to chase “this sound”, a sound that has become
mainstream due to the success of down south rappers. I’m not picking on
Murda but this song is just an example of why that stigma is out there.
It’s hot no doubt..and at the end of the day it’s all just music right? So
does it really matter what you sound like or where the sound originated
from or is it more important that you stick to “what we do” ?

Did he just say, “You might not be in the mood to hear him uplift a
female?” Horrible.

This interview reminds me of another interview that Andre 3000 did when he
addressed why he’s not actively making music anymore. He said that there’s
an element to hip-hop where the music and the energy around it needs to be
current, I mean it is called Hip-hop, emphasis on “Hip”.
That’s why he doesn’t want to be 40+ making music, because at a certain
point you start to come off as the old man desperately trying to hold on to
your youth or the old man who is critical with anything that doesn’t fit
your version of hip.

Weirdo rap is the present and the future, plain and simple. Gangsta rap is
lame and for porch monkeys.

rap from NYC anymore, the bite everybody else.
April 9, 2015 @ 12:21 am
