Lenovo Thinkpad X1 Carbon – how does a business-grade laptop stack up
against our usual gaming variants?
April 8, 2015 @ 2:22 am
Hey linus, I think you might be able to swap the FN-CTRL buttons in bios,
some thinkpads allow that.
April 8, 2015 @ 2:28 am
This just plain sucked.

Who uses their index finger to press the space bar?
April 8, 2015 @ 2:53 am
why is having “only 8GB” of RAM such a cripple? I can’t imagine anyone
using this for image or video software, so it can’t be that much of a big
deal… right?
April 8, 2015 @ 2:59 am
what exactly make a laptop “business” grade?
April 8, 2015 @ 3:20 am
I think a test of the legendary durability would be good, to see if it
still holds the same standards as before.

So what does the ‘orange nipple’ actually do?
April 8, 2015 @ 4:27 am
So do Lenovo products no longer come with Superfish installed at this
point?
April 8, 2015 @ 4:39 am
Let’s admit it. The laptop looks absolutely brilliant. The screen is
absolutely brilliant. If only we could have the edge-to-edge keyboard like
the new macbook, buttons above the touchpad placed underneath it and I
wouldn’t mind getting rid of the nipple. Fingerprint scanner placed lower
if neccessary. That would be close to perfect ultrabook design.

Is that Austin’s nipple there?
April 8, 2015 @ 5:31 am
why cant i add you on steam:(
April 8, 2015 @ 5:45 am
The logic behind not having a 16 GB option is the same as your dismissal of
the 5200U. It just doesn’t make sense given the rest of the system. 95%
of the time, if you will use 16GB of RAM, you will have a much more
powerful processor, and probably a dedicated graphics card with it.
April 8, 2015 @ 5:52 am
The new thinkpads are laughably bad..
April 8, 2015 @ 7:51 am
So the ram isn’t user upgradeable?
April 8, 2015 @ 7:54 am
Nothing on the weak sauce graphics? They could have at least put an 840M or
a K1100M in there, or offered it.
April 8, 2015 @ 9:07 am
Im am using the nipple on my school computer becuse its an old sandy bridge
computer and the touch pad sucks
April 8, 2015 @ 10:32 am
but can it play mienkraft?!?
April 8, 2015 @ 1:33 pm
I would be delighted if some of you can check out my drawing of Bill Cosby,
please actually look at it before leaving a harsh comment

I’d love a Topre factory tour :)
April 8, 2015 @ 1:40 pm
Those little nubs actually come in pretty darn handy for browsing.
April 8, 2015 @ 1:46 pm
my build:
i7 4770K
16GB DDR3 (from hp)
some random Z87 mobo that comes with this pc
1 TB HDD + 128GB SSD
standard GTX 980
Beats Audio™; High Definition Audio 7.1
500 WATT silver PSU
Is this an overclock-able build?
April 8, 2015 @ 2:24 pm
@Knuckles the Echidna showing it grrrrrrrrrrrrr!! Autocorrect such a stupid
invention!
