It won’t do for gaming, but the swappable Tiny + Tiny-in-One line is an IT
guy(or girl)’s dream:

I still fail to see the appeal of AIOs. There are basically no situations
where that form factor is useful. At work? You have a desk, plenty of space
for a mini itx system to be out of your way (if you don’t, what kind of
work are you doing that requires a pc but doesn’t provide you a desk of
some sort?). At home? You have ALL the space you want. So why pay more for
something like this?

i just don’t see how this beats a laptop with dock. can someone explain
any situation in which this is better?

1080p for workstation ?!!? the hell!
—
let me elaborate since a lot of people got confused …
16:9 is absolutely not an ideal aspect ratio for a work environment, and
coming from Lenovo from all people, this should be known; 5:4 monitors are
more suited for workstations and to an extent, 16:10
April 15, 2015 @ 5:02 pm
the thing is imo people who would be interested in the upgradeability and
modularity of this solution wouldn’t want an all-in-one to begin with…
April 15, 2015 @ 5:15 pm
+NCIXcom does it come with super fish?
April 15, 2015 @ 5:16 pm
Won’t it overheat when it’s stuck in the monitor? I mean with the dust
buildup and whatnot :o
April 15, 2015 @ 5:50 pm
Now this is how you do AIOs!
April 15, 2015 @ 6:02 pm
Those bexels tho.. Ugly.
April 15, 2015 @ 6:32 pm
Good lord this thing is a WASTE OF MONEY….NUCs and BRIX are available for
much less money and are way more powerful and useful…..THIS IS A PRODUCT
FOR IDIOTS

Wow there’s been a lot of hate in these workstation reviews. It’s obvious
the normal audience of this channel isn’t the target consumer base for
these products. In businesses, there are much more important considerations
than the price/performance ratio. Anyway, I enjoy seeing some new content
and I vote for more non-gaming focused reviews. Seems to be a good
opportunity for NCIX anyway.

I LOVE the modular design of this! I think it’s awesome!
April 15, 2015 @ 8:19 pm
What about a mid-range mini pc for gaming or 1080p video playback?
April 15, 2015 @ 8:48 pm
That? For $600? What a ripoff! I could build a more powerful build for $500
April 15, 2015 @ 9:22 pm
Yo Keys didn’t you forget something? something like Benchmarks?
April 16, 2015 @ 1:09 am
We have a few of those. The cheapest available actually. We use them to
just connect to a cloud configured terminal that has the beef config.
Cheap, safe storage, easily configurable without buying hardware.
I’m slightly confused why not more companies do this. Why keep all of that
crap indoors when you already should get an offsite backup to make sure you
don’t loose your company when a fire breaks out…
April 16, 2015 @ 6:55 am
This is kinda cool!
