When people start their pitches to me by saying “But first, please sign this NDA so our ideas don’t get stolen”, I immediately check out. Why? Because if you actually think in 2015 that your idea is so profound and nobody has ever thought of it, then you are lost in the reality of the marketplace. If that is your mindset, I don’t see that as a winning mindset. Starting now, 2015 and beyond, the days of patenting ideas, IP being stolen, are gone. Every idea has been thought of. All of them. I mean it.
Now, people actually executing on those ideas? That is the big one now. You need to have the right resources, be in the right place in your career, have energy, skills, opportunities: those are the variables. Not the ideas.

#QOTD: Cash is to be respected but not worshiped. +Gary Vaynerchuk, love
the high frequency of episodes in the past 2 weeks. I’m totally addicted to
your show :).

Cash is money. Money buys ads. Good ads drive business. Business makes
cash. Cash is cash.

#QOTD: cash is oxygen ;)

West coast Episode 100! (Maybe Episode 150?)
May 11, 2015 @ 12:18 pm
Oxygen!
Aka – O2 for the chemistry geeks.
Cash is a tool to buy what you need. It’s not the goal, but it’s still
really important.
May 11, 2015 @ 12:24 pm
Wait, so what is cash?
Cash is…Uhg….Uah…Ah…uh…can’t….breath….neeed…. CASH. Whew.
In my online store I’ve spent a lot of time building customer loyalty,
reviews, product reviews, etc. It may not be as strong as cash, but as a
result of a high level of reviews/testimonials it builds trust which means
people buy and when they buy they give us their…cash.

#QOTD: Cash rules everything around me.
May 11, 2015 @ 2:16 pm
#QOTD Cash is Oxygen, but let’s go deep on that. Yes you need oxygen to
live and breath, but the more of it you have the more capacity you have to
execute. If you can breath but have asthma or shortness of breath, its hard
for you to be athletic and execute on certain things and stay fit.
It’s the same with your cash flow. Your cash limits or enhances your
ability to execute and grow and make choices. Example with $300/month in
extra cash flow, maybe I could rent a bunch of Cameras and Accessories to
Review or invest in more equipment to increase my production values in
terms of infrastructure, or maybe I could travel more and do some on
location content while doing a photo shoot or take my audience a tour of an
art gallery or a festival.
But if I were struggling to breath in terms of cash I couldn’t get out the
content because I’d need to spend every minute of everyday straining to get
enough air/cash just to stay alive.
That is why I went in early on identifying ways to diversify revenue. It’s
why I’m currently developing a product strategy and an expansion strategy
for the affiliate marketing side. Increasing my intake is how I’m going to
“Win the Game”.

#QOTD: Cash is flexibility

#QOTD: Finish the sentence: “Cash is *_______* .”
Hrmm… Cash is: Power, King, Dangerous, Freedom, Responsibility……
May 11, 2015 @ 9:50 pm
Cash in it of itself is not oxygen, cash flow is. A company can remain in
business if cash flow is positive.
