By the way I love the porn music in the background!!! nostrixoxide December 21, 2009 @ 2:49 am Hey Pete, Just wanted to say thanks for the video knowledge. I really dug the part where you floated your gold pearl in straight reducer. Never seen that one done before! Are there any precautions one should look out for when doing that? Also, why must you wait 3-5 days before you can clear over the pinstripes? I can usually clear after 24hrs as long as I use the same hardener in the stripe as I use in the clear coat? Thanks again, great work & awesome tips & tricks…. topfuelsp December 29, 2009 @ 8:02 pm fantastic vids, Im going to put some on my dragster. thanks 000Freek February 7, 2010 @ 6:30 am thanks for the vid. That is untill I watched this 6 prt series and… Mate I’m ready as ever. Thanks alot. It was well explained, step by step and the flames look great on the car. Thanks again. blacknissan69 October 24, 2010 @ 9:01 pm why such a hard edge on the flames where they come out of the vents??? superesonator May 25, 2011 @ 10:41 am Watched this whole series, wish we could have seen you doing the final pinstriping… between the end of part 4 and beginning of part 5. Did you say that you clear coated the whole base color before you started the flames? Does that mean you waited five days there as well before applying, and how long to set? swrnc May 26, 2011 @ 5:48 am @superesonator I used a clear coat called Color Blender, PPG DP 500, it’s a clear and you add reducer only, it’s paint/tape ready in 8 hours. Its actually a clear sealer so you don’t mess your art work up.. Thanks Pete fenton53 June 9, 2011 @ 7:21 pm How the fuck can we get off our ass Pete and still watch YOU.Steve Randy Dotson June 11, 2011 @ 9:44 pm Great job Pete, you make it look so easy.. Since the pinstriping is ontop of the intercoat clear, does that get sanded with everything else before clear? or did you sand down the flames then apply the pin stripe, then simply wipe it all down after it is cured? What grit do you use to sand intercoat clear?
