Blood, Guts & Glory Painting Challenge (Part 1)
In late 2011 a few brave members of the Battlefront Studio banded together to complete an Iron Painter event – 24 hours of straight painting. This year they found a few more volunteers and gave it another go, this time to celebrate the launch of Blood, Guts & Glory.
The plan was to paint a company from Blood, Guts & Glory. They were allowed to be assembled prior to the weekend and undercoated black or white. This is the first part of how the challenge went…

Love this! Still like to do this sort of thing. Helps when you’re doing a
BIG Soviet army. I have some questions I hope you can post links or respond
to. Are there vids or articles on: Magic Wash(?), Phil’s “Disk Camo” scheme
he’s using, how to set up an airbush to do the feathered camo schemes, (I
have an Aztec and a Paasche VL, compressor but no regulator and not sure
how to get line that fine), and using the Mg or other pigments for
weathering. Can’t wait to see the rest guys. Thanks.

magic wash is probably something like Devlan Mud or Badab Black mixed with
Klear floor polish

When the guys refer to Magic Wash they mean the Vallejo Black or Brown
Shade, or home made magic wash using Future/Klear floor polish and
black/brown paint.

Interesting Phil commented on the difficulty of assembling the Stuka Zu
Faus. Perhaps a look at how to make that assembly easier would be a good
idea?
